Deputy Coroner Ryan DiGiacomo was notified of the death of Nichoel Gaither at her home in Hephzibah, GA. Gold Cross personnel advised that Ms. Gaither had called EMS for respiratory distress and could not open her door. After the door was breached, CPR was unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead. An examination showed no signs of trauma and her mother said Ms. Gaither had a history of cancer and recent lung biopsy. The body was transported to the morgue and autopsy found pulmonary embolism due to deep vein
