What is Unifying the Identity of Antiphon about?

The ancient sources provide strong evidence that the orator Antiphon of Rhamnus and the sophist Antiphon mentioned by Xenophon were considered to be the same person by ancient scholars. While some separatist views existed based on stylistic analysis, the dominant ancient opinion was unitarian. A comprehensive survey of ancient authors shows that the ancient tradition overwhelmingly took a unitarian position and regarded doubts about their identity as based on inadequate criteria.
