This study examined the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of the 19-item Audit of Diabetes-Dependent Quality of Life (ADDQoL-19) questionnaire in assessing quality of life in 386 Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care. The ADDQoL-19 showed good internal consistency and was able to detect differences in quality of life between groups with different disease characteristics, demonstrating known-group validity. However, it showed only weak correlation with the generic SF-12 quality
