What is Philo about?

Philo provides different interpretations of the creation of Adam in Genesis depending on the biblical context. In his running commentaries on Genesis, Philo considers the entity created in Genesis 2:7 to be distinct from the one in Genesis 1:27. In his allegorical work Legum allegoriae, Philo refers to the creation in Genesis 1:27 as the "heavenly human" and in Genesis 2:7 as the "earthly human" before God
