The experiment aimed to investigate osmosis using potato tissues by measuring the length changes of potato strips in distilled water and salt water solutions. Results showed that potato strips in distilled water increased in length and became turgid, while those in salt water remained the same length but became flaccid. This demonstrates how osmosis affects plant tissue based on the surrounding solution
