The Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance (HELP) model is a hydrologic model developed by the EPA to estimate water movement through landfills. It considers factors like vegetation, soil types, and liner materials. Over 2,000 engineering firms and 200 government agencies use HELP for landfill design, permitting, and closure evaluations. The current version, HELP 4.0, is available for download from the EPA website along with documentation manuals.
