The Spirax Sarco TR Steam MicroTurbine can generate electrical power from 150 kW to 700 kW by harnessing the energy released from steam pressure reduction. It has a compact design allowing for retrofitting into existing steam plants. Electrical power is produced as steam turns the turbine blades and is used locally or supplied back to the grid. Technical features include suitable operation with saturated or superheated steam up to 550°C and 89 bar pressure.
