Saint Tranquilino Ubiarco was born in 1899 in Mexico. He was ordained a priest in 1923 and dedicated himself to the Christian formation of children and to the apostolate. In 1925, during the religious persecution in Mexico, he was arrested and hanged for his faith in Tepatitlán, Jalisco. He was canonized in the year 2000 and his remains rest in the Parish of San Francisco de Asís in Tepatitlán.
