In 1932, she sold portions of the land to the Municipality of Iloilo for the construction of avenues, parks, and a city hall according to the Arellano Plan. - Pio Sian Melliza, a subsequent owner of a portion of the land, sued Iloilo City and the University of the Philippines in 1955 claiming ownership of Lot 1214-B. The courts ruled that the original sale included Lot 1214-B as needed for the city hall
