What is Nathrius brevipennis in Greece about?

Nathrius brevipennis, a wood-boring beetle, was found infesting and damaging almond trees in Avliotes, Corfu from 1975-1976. The larvae of N. brevipennis bore into and cause the death of twigs. In 1977, another infestation was discovered on walnut trees in Ioannina. In 1980, N. brevipennis was observed infesting almond trees in Metsovo. This beetle species had not previously been reported in lists of Greek Cerambycidae beetles.
