What is Smartfind S20 Personal AIS Beacon about?

The Smartfind S20 is a personal AIS device designed to assist in survivor recovery. It transmits GPS location and identification information over AIS to be viewed on compatible chart plotters and navigation systems. It is compact at 120g and intended to be carried in lifejackets. When activated, it transmits an alert every minute for a minimum of 24 hours to quickly locate a missing crew member within a typical 4 nautical mile range.
