FNAC in BCG Induced Lymphadenitis by Sravani Peddagangannagari is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document describes a study examining the use of fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) in diagnosing Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) induced lymphadenitis. The study analyzed FNAC results from 17 patients between 2 months and 2 years old presenting with enlarged lymph nodes after BCG vaccination. Most patients were male and the left axillary lymph node was most commonly involved. Pus was aspirated in most cases. Microscopic examination found diffuse necrosis with degenerated cells in over half of cases.
