ACEs and Dental Caries in Adolescents by physicianassociatep is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and dental caries in adolescents aged 14 to 18 in Santa Maria, Brazil. Results indicate that adolescents who experienced parental divorce or had a family member imprisoned had significantly higher rates of dental caries, with a 56% increase associated with imprisonment. The findings highlight the need to consider specific family-related ACEs when assessing their impact on dental health.
