What is Social Norms and Tax Compliance Analysis about?

This study analyzed the role of social norms in tax compliance behavior. It hypothesized that descriptive norms, injunctive norms, subjective norms, and personal norms all influence tax compliance, and tested these hypotheses using a survey of 470 taxpayers. The results partially supported the hypotheses, finding that injunctive norms and subjective norms significantly influence personal norms and thus compliance intentions, though descriptive norms did not.
