About this document

Interactive Design of Inflatable Structures by HUGO is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The document describes a new method for interactively designing inflatable structures. The user provides a target 3D shape and sketches seam lines on it. The system then computes flat 2D panels that optimize the inflated structure to match the target shape, while respecting the sketched seams. It uses physics-based simulation and constraint optimization. The results allow interactive exploration of different seam designs and their effects on the inflated shape. Several examples are shown, and some prototype
