What is Atisha about?

This prayer offers butter lamps to the Buddhas and requests that the light illuminate the darkness of ignorance for all beings. It asks that the lamp, wick, and butter become vast like the world system, Mount Meru, and infinite ocean. The lights may multiply and appear as offerings to all Buddhas. Through this, may all beings see the pure realms of the Buddhas and attain enlightenment in this and future lives. It requests unity with Amitabha and blessings from the Triple Gem.
