What is Rizal about?

Rizal received his early education in Manila, studying arts and philosophy. He then studied medicine in Manila and Madrid, obtaining his medical degree. In Madrid, he also studied painting, sculpture, and languages. Rizal published Noli Me Tangere in 1887 and helped Calamba residents in an agrarian dispute. He traveled extensively in Asia and the United States, publishing more works and contributing to newspapers before deciding to return to the Philippines in 1892.
