What is Hepatitis B Prevalence in Beira HCWs about?

This study assessed the prevalence of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and immunity status among healthcare workers (HCWs) in Beira City, Mozambique. Out of 315 HCWs, 5.1% were found to be infected with HBV, with a significant portion being susceptible to infection. The findings highlight the need for a national hepatitis B screening and vaccination strategy for HCWs in Mozambique.
