This study analyzed the status and costs of farming Sabaki tilapia in Saudi Arabia through a survey of 65 industry participants. The results showed Sabaki tilapia farming occurs on small, medium, and large scales. Most farms use polyculture, have an average size over 10 hectares, and employ over 5 workers. The primary costs of Sabaki tilapia farming were feed (50.06-69.33% of costs), labor (14.51-20.98%), and fry (5.29-5.81%). Medium and large farms showed greater profitability.
