The study evaluated the impact of various weed management practices on the growth and yield of sugarcane at the Agricultural Research Station in Karnataka during 2015-17. The herbicidal treatment of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl combined with metribuzin and 2,4-D sodium salt significantly increased millable cane yield and reduced weed biomass compared to other treatments. Hand weeding also proved effective, showing comparable results to the best herbicidal treatment in controlling weed density and biomass.
