Can I read Inelastic Scattering Contrast in Beam-rocking Electron Diffraction Experiments on EtoBox?

Inelastic Scattering Contrast in Beam-rocking Electron Diffraction Experiments by P. Goodman; J.M. Cowley; A. Higgs is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Inelastic Scattering Contrast in Beam-rocking Electron Diffraction Experiments about?

The double scanning method of Fades has been applied to obtain electron diffraction rocking curves from electrons which have suffered characteristic energy losses in crystals. Observations made on biotite crystals of a few tens of nanometers thickness show that significant information can be obtained with real-time scans of 4 to 8 s for energy losses approaching 1000 eV. Using the characteristic-loss trace for Fe as an example, the possibility of using this technique to determine the substitutional site for a minority species is demonstrated.
