This report presents & discusses data on Canadian greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions & removals, beginning with an overview of climate & GHG trends, the institutional arrangements for producing the GHG inventory, estimation methodologies, and explanations of changes since the last inventory. Chapter 2 provides an in-depth analysis of Canada's GHG emission trends according to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change reporting guidelines. Subsequent chapters provide more specific information on GHGs by sector: energy, industrial processes, solvent & other product use, agriculture, land-use change & forestry, and waste management. The final chapter summarizes recalculations performed for this submission and the planned improvements to the inventory. Appendices include additional analyses of emission trends by industrial sector & province, summary tables of GHG emissions, estimates of data uncertainty, and tables showing GHG emission intensities for electricity generation
