About this document

Milling Process: Granule Size Reduction Analysis by Alvinder Kaur is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The experiment aimed to introduce practical aspects of milling and how processing variables affect milling. Granules were milled at different rpm and the particle sizes analyzed. Milling at 80 rpm produced particles over 2 mm, while 160 rpm produced particles over 1.4 mm, showing increased rpm leads to finer particles. Feeding granules slowly also increased size reduction. The conclusion was that milling reduces particle size, and higher rpm and slower feeding produce finer particles.
