What is Measure Permeability of Free Space Experiment about?

The aim of the experiment is to determine the permeability of free space (μo) using an Ampere balance. The apparatus consists of a small coil pivoted above a large coil, connected in series. A known current is passed through the coils, and the position of a rider on the small coil is adjusted to balance it.
