What is Hate Speech Detection Using BiGRU Model about?

This paper introduces a method to identify hate speech in social media using a combination of Glove and FastText word embeddings as input to a BiGRU model. The model was tested on the OLID hate speech dataset and achieved 84% accuracy, 87% precision, 93% recall, and 90% F1-score at detecting offensive versus non-offensive language. The results show the proposed model is effective at filtering inappropriate content on social media platforms.
