The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be moved from Panaji to Dona Paula, Goa by 2019. The Chief Minister announced sophisticated facilities will be built at Dona Paula to host the prestigious film festival. The state cabinet approved transferring 2.97 lakh square meters of land to the Entertainment Society of Goa to construct infrastructure like a convention center, cinemas, 1000+ room hotel, and offices needed to permanently host the festival at its new location in Dona Paula.
