This study evaluates the effectiveness of a porcine dermal matrix for soft tissue augmentation during second stage implant surgery in 20 patients across four centers. Results showed significant horizontal soft tissue gain at 6 months, averaging 0.83 mm, which was maintained at 24 months with minor shrinkage. The findings suggest that the porcine dermal matrix can provide consistent soft tissue augmentation with acceptable dimensional stability over time.
