What is Configuring IP Source Guard in Cisco about?
IP Source Guard provides source IP address filtering on a Layer 2 port to prevent IP spoofing. It uses DHCP snooping and static IP source binding to match IP addresses to hosts. To enable IP Source Guard, you must first enable DHCP snooping globally and on VLANs, then configure untrusted ports and enable IP Source Guard with the ip verify source command. Static IP bindings can also be configured.
