This review discusses kidney involvement in multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), which has been increasingly recognized since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Renal complications, including acute kidney injury (AKI), occur in 10% to 46% of MIS-C cases and are associated with higher morbidity and mortality. The review highlights the need for further clinical studies to better understand the pathophysiology and treatment options for AKI in MIS-C patients.
