About this document

Late Rectal and Bladder Toxicity Following Radiation Therapy For Prostate Cancer by Muskaan Khanna is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates predictive factors for late rectal and bladder toxicity following radiation therapy for prostate cancer and evaluates the effectiveness of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for grade ≥2 toxicity. The findings indicate that late rectal toxicity is associated with the volume irradiated and the use of dicumarinic treatment, while HBOT significantly reduces persistent toxicity symptoms. Overall, 9.3% of patients experienced grade ≥2 toxicity, which decreased to 4.5% after HBOT treatment.
