About this document

Carnitine Therapy for Boxer DCM by TheEspressoExpress is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This case report examines the efficacy of oral carnitine therapy in treating dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in two boxer dogs. Despite increased cardiac carnitine concentrations in the treated dog, the therapy did not resolve the DCM, as the dog later presented with severe symptoms and was euthanized. The findings suggest that low cardiac carnitine levels are common in boxers with DCM, but supplementation may not be effective for all cases.
