The HNC theory has been used to study the double-layer interaction between two charged plates immersed into a restricted primitive model electrolyte, under a wide variety of boundary conditions. It is found that the unbalance of the surface charge density on different sides of the plate may cause dramatic change in the behavior of the interaction force.
