OX-UHA is a plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) coating for magnesium alloys that provides excellent corrosion and wear resistance. It creates a compact ceramic oxide layer through high-current plasma melting, resulting in a surface that is harder and more wear-resistant than traditional coatings. The environmentally-friendly process does not use toxic chemicals like hexavalent chromium. The coating has good paint adhesion and permits high corrosion resistance when combined with painting.
