Diethanolamine is a colorless liquid with an ammonia odor that is miscible in water. It is 100% diethanolamine, which can cause irritation to skin, eyes and the respiratory tract and may cause allergic reactions. Prolonged or repeated exposure can damage the liver and kidneys. It has a flash point of 130C and is flammable between 1.6-9.8% concentrations in air.
