This nationwide cohort study assessed the association between inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) use and the risk of hospitalization for pneumonia in children with asthma, analyzing data from 425,965 children aged 2-17 years. The study found no significant association between ICS use and hospitalization for pneumonia, with similar incidence rates observed in both ICS and no-use episodes. The results suggest that ICS use does not increase the risk of pneumonia hospitalization in pediatric asthma patients.
