This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the bonding performance of adhesive systems to dentin using various application modalities. The study found that techniques such as extended application time, double-layer application, and the use of a hydrophobic resin layer significantly improved bond strength. The results suggest that alternative application strategies may enhance the durability of resin-dentin bonds, although no definitive standard technique has been established.
