What is Copper Slag Leaching: pH, Size, Time Effects about?
This study investigates the leaching behavior of copper and cobalt from copper slag under varying conditions of particle size, pH, and residence time. Results indicate that a pH of 2.0 significantly enhances the release of both metals, with optimal particle sizes for copper and cobalt being 0.075–0.150 mm and 0.150–0.250 mm, respectively. To mitigate environmental contamination, it is recommended to avoid acidic pH levels and smaller particle sizes during slag management.
