What is Duterte about?

A former Philippine ambassador to the US said that President Duterte cannot intimidate US President Biden into paying for retaining the VFA as Duterte demanded. The former ambassador said Biden would not be intimidated like Trump and may walk away from the alliance if the Philippines becomes unreasonable. Losing the VFA would undermine other defense agreements between the US and Philippines. While the US wants to maintain their alliance, Biden may withdraw if demands become unreasonable.
