Shoseiryuto is an herbal medicine used to treat bronchitis. A double-blind randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of Shoseiryuto compared to a placebo for treating mild to moderate bronchitis. The study involved 192 patients across multiple hospitals in Japan. Patients taking Shoseiryuto showed a trend towards greater global improvement in symptoms compared to the placebo group. Several individual symptoms, like cough and sputum production, also improved more in the Shoseiryuto group.
