This study focuses on groundwater modeling and the estimation of a safe pumping rate for sustainable groundwater use in Kombolcha town, Ethiopia. Using the ModelMuse groundwater model and data from 39 boreholes, the research determined that the safe pumping rate is 975 L/s under 8-hour pumping scenarios, with an average recharge rate of 176.75 mm per year. The findings emphasize the importance of balancing groundwater extraction with natural recharge to prevent depletion of this vital resource.
