What is PicoGreen DNA Quantification Guide about?

PicoGreen is a fluorescent dye that can detect as little as 50 pg of DNA regardless of the assay volume used. To quantify DNA concentrations, standards are prepared by making serial dilutions of a stock DNA solution and diluting samples and standards 100-fold prior to the assay. For a plate-based assay, the PicoGreen working solution is made by diluting the dye 400-fold in TE buffer. Samples and standards are then pipetted onto a plate before the addition of the PicoGreen working solution.
