What is UNHCR about?

UNHCR unveiled a shelter pilot project in 2012 to improve living conditions for Somali refugees in Umkulu refugee camp in Eritrea. The project constructed 17 semi-permanent houses with concrete and metal sheeting, providing safer housing for 17 vulnerable female-headed households who previously lived in dangerous areas.
