What is Exploring Movement in Still Life Art about?

This poem describes mobiles hanging in a stairwell that are moved by the wind. The mobiles are made of leaves or wires arranged in a formulaic structure to be looked at from below. For the mobiles to work as intended, functioning as contenders to be looked at through their hopeful movements, they need a steady wind that does not exceed calculated speeds so that the leaves and wires are not too shaken from their places.
