The Hungarian Grand Prix scheduled for September 20, 2009 has been cancelled and will not be replaced for the 2009 season. This reduces the number of events in the 2009 FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix to 17 races. The Hungarian Grand Prix will be rescheduled on the 2010 calendar. An amended schedule for the 2009 season is provided, listing the 17 remaining races by date and location.
