Elachistocleis magnus was recently described based on preserved material only (four males and four females), from Fazenda Jaburi, Espigao do Oeste municipality, state of Rondonia, Brazil. Live specimens of E. Magnus from Manicore had a dark grey back, with orange spots in axils, inguinal region, and on the posterior aspect of thighs and tibiae.
