What is Qusayy ibn Kilab: Quraysh Leader about?
Qusayy ibn Kilab was an Ishmaelite descendant of Abraham who became the chief of the Quraysh tribe in Mecca after being orphaned as a child. He reconstructed the Kaaba, built the first town hall in Mecca, and established laws to care for pilgrims. Qusayy had several sons including Abd Manaf, who he selected to inherit his position as chief before his death. Qusayy is an ancestor of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and many royal dynasties that ruled in Arabia, North Africa, Persia, and South Asia.
