What is Formation of Barangay Waste Management Team about?
The Barangay Executive Order organizes the Barangay Solid Waste Management Enforcement Team (BSWMET) to help address garbage problems in line with environmental laws and a Supreme Court decision. The BSWMET will be composed of barangay officials, youth and community leaders, and will accompany waste haulers, inspect waterways and open spaces for dumping, enforce no littering ordinances, and check commercial establishments for compliance with environmental policies.
