About this document
Star Formation in Quasar Host Galaxies by lupustar is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study presents Hubble Space Telescope imaging of 17 luminous quasars at redshifts of z=1-2 in order to explore their host galaxies. The images are fitted with models including a point source to separate nuclear and host galaxy emission. Rest-frame U-V colors are derived for the quasar host galaxies, finding they are systematically bluer than comparably massive galaxies at the same redshifts. The host galaxies of radio-loud quasars are more luminous but have indistinguishable colors from radio-quiet qua
