The National University of Colombia tested rubberized asphalt pavement made with recycled tire rubber on a road with seven sections. Three sections used conventional asphalt while four used asphalt with recycled rubber granules. After six months, the rubberized sections showed slightly better results with only minor issues while the conventional sections showed more problems like aggregate detachment.
