This study evaluates the potential flood risk from a dam break in the Gurara watershed in Nigeria under different land use/cover and hydroclimatic conditions. The Hydrological Simulation Program Fortran and Hydrologic Engineering Center–River Analysis System models are used to simulate the rainfall-runoff processes and flood inundation downstream.
